HE Mr. Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) announced the upcoming launch of Riyadh Season 2021 on the 20th of October under the slogan “Just Imagine More”. HE promised more details and big surprises to be revealed during a press conference set to take place on the 4th of October. Al-Sheikh also stated that Riyadh Season, which will occupy an area of 5.4 million square meters distributed across 14 zones, is the work of Saudi hands, and will dazzle the world throughout 7,500 entertainment days, including 70 Arab concerts, 6 international concerts, 10 international exhibitions, 350 theatrical performances, 18 Arabic plays, and six international plays, in addition to one freestyle wrestling tournament, two international competitions, and 100 interactive experiences. The season will also be hosting 200 restaurants and 70 coffee shops catering to a wide range of tastes and age groups. Riyadh Season is anticipated to offer a mix of unique, exciting, and modern entertainment experiences that elevate Riyadh as a prime global entertainment hub through offerings that bring joy to residents and visitors alike, while also attaining ambitious national targets such as augmenting and expanding the Saudi entertainment sector, creating job opportunities, supporting the local GDP, and attracting foreign investments. Moreover, Riyadh Season seeks to position the Saudi capital among the top tourist and entertainment destinations in the region and world.
