The “Kingdom Arena” in Riyadh hosted the launch of the public workout today (Wednesday) as part of Boxing Week in Riyadh, featuring British rising star Moses Itauma and veteran Dillian Whyte in preparation for their highly anticipated heavyweight clash on Saturday at Anb Arena, held under the Esport World Cup.
The public workout drew a strong crowd of fans and media, giving attendees the chance to witness the fighters’ preparations up close ahead of the big night. Itauma, undefeated in 20 professional bouts (10 by knockout), enters the fight aiming to continue his rapid ascent, while Whyte, with a professional record of 31 wins (21 by knockout) and 3 losses, seeks to reclaim his global standing following a hand injury that sidelined him for several months.
The session took place in a charged, energetic atmosphere, setting the tone for the remainder of Boxing Week leading up to fight night, which will also feature major global bouts. Highlights include the lightweight contest between Nick Ball and Sam Goodman, as well as the WBA featherweight title clash between champion Ray Ford and Abraham Nova. The card will also showcase heavyweight battles and other high-level matchups catering to boxing enthusiasts.
This event is part of the Esport World Cup series hosted in Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, featuring more than 2,000 players and 200 clubs, with a total prize pool of $70 million, in a unique setting that combines digital entertainment with live combat sports.
