Within the experiences of peoples’ cultures presented by Riyadh Season 2022 under the slogan “Beyond Imagination,” the activities of “Sudanese Week,” which started yesterday in Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the 15 entertainment zones, continue. Visitors can try a different experience with the culture, food and heritage of this country. The events include roaming shows, and others at Al-Suwaidi Theater, in addition to the bazaar and the carnival sub-zones and the eating and farming experiences. With the launch of the "Sudanese Week" activities, the Suwaidi Park zone has witnessed an influx of visitors who have been keen to wear Sudanese fashion, the most famous of which is the jalabiya, which they described as comfortable and easy to wear. Moreover, visitors have been enjoying the experience of tasting famous Sudanese foods, including kammonia, siryah, fisikh and Kimah, as well as many types of sweets that Khartoum and Omdurman are famous for, such as Basta, Awama and Basima. Visitors have interacted with folklore dances performed during "Sudanese Week" by a special band to the tunes of the famous Sudanese song "Ellilah Billil… Nimshi Shari' Al Nil". On the stage of Al-Suwaidi Theater, the saxophonist Ayman Al-Tayeb played musical pieces that were greatly admired by the audience. During the "Sudanese Week", Bazaar sub-zone hosts selling points for Sudanese products, such as winter clothes, gowns, incense, perfumes, handicrafts and heritage products, nuts and herbs. Specialists practice face painting and henna drawing in a special corner. As part of the activities of "Sudanese Week," Al-Suwaidi Park receives visitors daily from 4 pm until 12 midnight.
