The voting phase for the “Joy Awards 2025” concluded yesterday (Sunday) after massive public participation through the award’s official app. Preparations are now underway for the announcement of winners during the much-anticipated ceremony scheduled for next Saturday at the anb Arena, as part of Riyadh Season.
The awards witnessed fierce competition across various categories, including cinema, TV series, music, sports, influencers, and directing, showcasing the most remarkable works and individuals that shone over the past year.
The ceremony is expected to feature prominent figures from the worlds of art, music, and sports, as well as key personalities from the entertainment industry. Attendees will also enjoy dazzling artistic performances. The overwhelming public engagement during the voting phase reflects the audience’s enthusiasm for honoring top talents and creative achievements across multiple domains.
In the cinema category, nominees for Best Film include “From the Ashes” “Rehla 404” “Shabab Al Bomb,” and “Welad Rizk 3: El Qadia” are vying for Best Film. For Best Actress in a Film, nominees include Khairiah Abulaban (“From the Ashes”), Nour AlGhandour (“Honeymoonish”), Hannah El Zahed (“Fasel Men El Lahazat El Lazeeza”), and Yasmine Sabri (“Abo Nasab”). Competing for Best Actor in a Film are Ahmed Ezz (“Welad Rizk 3: El Qadia”), Sohayb Godus (“Ahlam Al Asr”), Faisal Al Essa (“Shabab Al Bomb”), and Hesham Maged (“Ex Merati”).
In the TV series category, Best Gulf Series nominees are “Thanawiyyat Al Naseem” “Zawja Waheda La Takfi” “Shabab El Bomb 12,” and “Mathaf Yeddi” are competing for Best Gulf Series. Egyptian productions “Al Atawla” “Ashghal Shaqa” “Kamel El Addad +1” and “Nema El Avoccato” are up for Best Egyptian Series. Meanwhile, Best Levant Series nominees include “Alameel” “Lo’bat Hob” “AlRawabi School for Girls: Season 2,” and “Wlad Badee’a”.
The Best Actress in a Series category features Elham Ali (“Sondos 2”), Sulafa Mimar (“Welad Badee’a”), Nour Ali (“Lo’bat Hob”), and Huda Hussein (“Zawja Waheda La Takfi”). On the other hand, Best Actor in a Series features Ayman Zidan and Samer Ismail (“Al Ameel”), Abdulaziz Alshehri (“Forsan Graih”), and Moatasem Al Nahar (“Lo’bat Hob”).
Emerging talents in the Newcomer of the Year category include Al-Anoud Abdulhakim (“Beyt Al Ankaboot”), Rasel Al-Otaibi and Mohammed Al-Harbi (“Sondos 2”), and Nayef Albahar (“Thanawiyyat Al Naseem”).
In the directing category, Best Director of TV Series nominees are Ahmed Khaled Mousa (“Al Atawla”), Rasha Sharbatji (“Wlad Badee’a”), Ali Al-Ali (“Zawja Waheda La Takfi”), and Mohammed Sami (“Nema El Avoccato”). Best Film Director nominees include Tarek Al-Eryan (“Welad Rizq 3: Elqadia”), Ali Al-Kalthami (“Night Courier”), Fatima Al-Banawi (“Basma”), and Moataz Al-Touni (“Ex Merati”).
In music, Best Song nominees are Lammah” by Ayed, “El Jaw” by Majid Al-Mohandes, “Haygely Mawgow3” by Tamer Ashour, and “Wein” by Al-Shami. Best Male Artist nominees are Elshami, Tamer Ashour, Silawi, and Ayed, while Best Female Artist nominees include Elissa, Assala, Angham, and Sherine Abdel Wahab. In the Newcomer category, nominees are TUL8TE, Khaled Al-Sarraf, Rakan Al-Saad, and Wijdan Saeed.
In sports, Best Athlete nominees include Salem Al-Dosari, Yassine Bounou, Ayman Hussein, and Houssem Aouar. Competing for Best Female Athlete are Donia Abu Taleb, Samaher Kurdi, Hattan Al-Saif, and Hana Gouda.
