The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has launched the Entertainment Business Accelerator to provide a stimulating work environment for entrepreneurs interested in the sector in the Kingdom, provide them with the necessary guidance and training, and link them with experts and consultants specialized in project development and a network of investors.
The accelerator consists of weekly training workshops, individual advisory sessions between entrepreneurs and specialized consultants, sessions for those interested in the entertainment sector to learn about the projects participating in the program, in addition to hosting many speakers and owners of successful experiences and organizing daily activities between entrepreneurs and developers from the accelerator team. The accelerator operates in two phases in its 12-week training program for each phase to monitor the performance of the participants, support them in developing their projects and help them expand and grow, and prepare for the advanced investment rounds, where mentors meet with the participants weekly at the accelerator headquarters to push their business towards progress and growth.
Project managers contribute to the development of participants’ projects through continuous guidance and mentoring training programs, linking them with appropriate consultants, and following up on companies’ interactions with users and customers to understand their needs and develop their products according to market requirements.
The mentors also aim to set a set of weekly goals for the projects and work to achieve them, as well as follow up on the development and progress of the projects and their achievement of agreed performance indicators and measure the achievements made since the start of the accelerator.
The work of the accelerator concludes with the establishment of 24 projects that are monitored periodically to learn about their latest developments and support them through consultations and linking with experts in the practical sector of these projects to ensure their continuity and growth and get the best possible benefits from them.
