The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) receives visitors to the Municipal Investment Forum (Furas) with distinguished investment opportunities to enable participants to access its opportunities with the highest level of support and facilities that shorten licensing procedures. The forum also aims to support participants in all stages of their work, from the establishment to doing business.
Through its pavilion in the forum dedicated to investors from inside and outside the Kingdom, GEA offers a range of flexible and advanced services for major and emerging Saudi companies to create an investment environment characterized by high efficiency and unlimited capabilities.
GEA also contributes, through its consultations, to allowing national and international companies to engage in distinguished investment experiences in an environment full of experience and support. Moreover, GEA participates in developing the Saudi investment environment, stimulating local investment, and highlighting promising opportunities and tremendous capabilities for the entertainment sector in the Kingdom.
Through its steps to support investors, GEA provides financing services in cooperation with several entities specialized in supporting emerging companies and SMEs and developing the entertainment sector, in addition to its role in providing support through business accelerators, studies, capacity-building and marketing.
GEA is one of the entities that receive great interest from local and international investors because of the distinguished support it offers its partners and its commitment to help them, in addition to its focus on achieving impact through the trust it has gained in the entertainment field and sector by providing 9 types of licenses in various entertainment fields in the Kingdom.
As of the end of 2022, GEA issued more than 24 licenses for amusement parks and more than 421 other licenses for entertainment centers. In the field of entertainment events, it provided approximately 4,198 permits for organizing entertainment events, 3,370 permits for live shows in restaurants and cafes, and more than 1,300 permits to hold entertainment shows.
In the support activities, GEA provided more than 630 permits in the field of managing artistic and entertainment talents, in addition to 360 certificates of approval for organizing and managing crowds, 700 licenses to operate entertainment facilities and more than 120 certificates of approval for selling tickets for entertainment activities.
