The show was officially inaugurated by Christopher Patrick Aro, Minister, and Consul General – Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Saudi government for hosting the special Filipino Night in Riyadh. More than 15,000 fans attended the unforgettable evening, which saw incredible performances by Filipino band TNT Boys, classical star Lara Maigue, and legendary singer Ogie Alcasid. Celebrating chart-topping music from the Philippines, the show was a big hit with the audience. Since launching on 11 October 2019, #Riyadh_Season has hosted an electric line-up of live concerts with wide international appeal, including shows featuring South Korean pop sensations BTS, as well as Pakistani singers Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Visitors can look forward to yet more musical diversity at the Mohammed Abdu Theatre until the season comes to a close on 31 January 2020.
