With the entry of 20 women teams, enthusiasm was its peak for women’s first participation in the “Riyadh Winter Baloot” Championship being held at Riyadh Front organized by the Saudi Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) under the supervision of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

Farah bint Fahad, a competitor, expressed her enthusiasm at participating in the Baloot Championship for the first time in the Kingdom, although she has been practicing the game for four years. The atmosphere of competition and excitement prevailed during her and her friend’s match against a men’s team. She praised the perfect organization of the championship and GEA’s role in enabling women’s participation.

Jawahir Al-Mansour, another competitor, said, “Our participation today was very successful. I along with my team member won in the first round against the men’s team.” “I have been playing the game for the past six years at home with my friends. We found it fun, smart and entertaining,” she added.

Nawarah Al-Abdali was eagerly waiting to know whether she qualified to participate in the championship for the game she has been practicing for four years. She said that everything about it was amazing including the organization and fair competition. She thanked GEA for supporting women’s events and participation.
