HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), sponsored a ceremony today where several agreements were signed with various entities participating in the mass wedding initiative. This event, part of Riyadh Season 2024’s social responsibility initiatives, will take place in January on the two largest stages of Boulevard City. The Abu Bakr Salem Stage will host the men’s wedding hall, while the Mohammed Abdu Arena will serve as the women’s hall.
HE Turki Alalshikh and His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sakkan Foundation, signed an agreement to secure donations from major benefactors, partners, individuals, and supporters. These contributions aim to empower beneficiaries of the mass wedding initiative and utilize the “Jood Eskan” platform to provide housing units to newlyweds under the conditions required by the Sakani program.
The CEO of GEA, Engineer Faisal Bafarat, also signed an agreement with the Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), represented by the group’s CEO, Engineer Olayan bin Mohammed Al-Wetaid. Under this agreement, STC will provide free internet service to the wedding beneficiaries for one year.
Another agreement was signed with Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), represented by its CEO, Mr. Badr Al-Salloum, committing SAR 1 million in financial support.
An additional agreement was reached with Ajlan & Brothers, represented by the group’s CEO, Ajlan bin Mohammed Al-Ajlan, to offer gifts valued at over SAR 2 million.
An agreement was also signed with Abu Al-Hassan Trading and Investment Group, represented by the group’s Business Development Manager, Mr. Fahad Al-Manea, to provide financial support amounting to SAR 1 million.
The signing ceremony witnessed the participation of numerous companies contributing various services to the couples during this major charitable event. These included hospitality and dining services, hall decorations, bridal gowns and grooms’ attire, perfumes and incense, grooming services, premarital tests, coffee and tea, and family counseling and development sessions.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo featuring HE Turki Alalshikh alongside the event’s participants.
