The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and Khairat Association for Saving Food signed a societal partnership agreement, aiming to activate Khairat’s programs, which seek to spread the mind-set of saving food from waste, and to collect the surplus of food in entertainment activities and events.
The agreement was signed by His Excellence the chairman of the GEA board of directors Mr. Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh and Khairat Association’s General Supervisor Mr. Abdullah Al-Subaie. The agreement entails the coordination between both parties to rationalize food consumption in entertainment events and allows Khairat to participate in the entertainment activities and events to offer awareness programs to the visitors about the rationalization of food consumption. In addition, the Association will be present in such events to collect the surplus of food before providing it to the needy in the Riyadh area.
The agreement consolidates the GEA’s role in developing and organizing the entertainment sector, enhancing the quality of entertainment events, and supporting the Kingdom’s infrastructure, in accordance with its official strategy which aims to advance the quality of life and to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.
