In an atmosphere full of happiness and joy, and under the slogan “Himma Hatta Al-Qimmah”, events launched by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) during the celebration of the 90th Saudi National Day, in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah, during September 22-25, were successfully concluded.
GEA events of the Saudi National Day began by an open call invitation by the GEA Chairman for writing lyrics for the National Day. He wrote its first two verses. The lyrics were turned into a song that was widely echoed in various mass media under title of “My Country”. He presented the lyrics to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Saudi people, on this precious occasion.
Events of the National Day implemented by GEA under the direction of H.E Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Sheikh, Chairman of GEA Board of Directors, included hosting the largest air show in the history of national days. Civil aircraft represented the public and private sectors as well as military aircrafts participated in this show. In addition, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Media, Presidency of the Royal Guard, Presidency of State Security, Civil Aviation Authority, Saudi Royal Air Force, Saudi Hawks Team, Saudi Air Navigation Services Company (SANA), Saudi Arabian Airlines, Flynas participated in the show. They accepted the invitation of GEA to participate in the entertaining shows that were watched by a large audience in the three cities on the Saudi channel.
The celebration was organized by GEA in a manner that takes into account the value of this precious occasion in light of exceptional circumstances due to COVID-19pandemic. It included the release of fireworks that decorated the Kingdom’s sky with charming aesthetic formations during the celebration. These, in turn, met a wide response in the hearts of its viewers behind the television screens, the Saudi channel.
GEA concluded the events that gain the satisfaction of its followers. It organized a number of concerts in the three cities; in which a group of the Arab art stars participated. They started in the “Green Halls” in Dammam with the participation of Rashid Al Majid and Aseel Abu Bakr. They concluded in Jeddah the night before with the participation of the Egyptian artist Ahmed Hamaki.
To maintain the public safety, GEA applied the highest precautions that it had previously adopted with the aim of combating COVID-19.
GEA took into consideration the participation of young people and plastic art fans in the events of the National Day. It had launched a “National Day” coloring guide, through which it would be possible to color the precious attractions of our country with its various administrative provinces and some competitions.
