Yesterday, Sunday 23 October, performances of the Saudi social play “Saat Amal” (An Hour of Hope) began at Mohammed Al-Ali Theater in Boulevard Riyadh City, one of the 15 entertainment zones of Riyadh Season. The play will continue until October 27.
This is one of the plays to be held within the activities of Riyadh Season 2022, and its events revolve in a comic social framework. It tells the story of a Saudi woman, named Amal, who has a little girl. The story begins after Amal’s death and her reuniting with her colleagues who died before her, Haya and Marwa. The events continue in a comic dialogue that reveals the story of Amal’s life and the real cause of her death.

The activities of Boulevard Riyadh City during Riyadh Season include 25 Arabic and international plays, 7 of which are Saudi plays, most notably “The Philosopher” Youssef Al-Thunayan play and “The Flaming Arrow” Majid Abdullah play. The zone has several sub-zones, including Music sub-zone, with its loud atmosphere, Studios for art lovers, Avalanche the snow city, and Trocadero, which includes more than 500 video games.
