As part of the activities of the Riyadh Homecoming festival, children experience the practice of medicine and its various specialties through the professions zone that enables them to live the daily life of doctors and enter into the details of their profession, which includes many examinations and treatment procedures.
At the festival, children learn how to deal with emergencies by practicing resuscitation, training on how to measure the patient’s pulse in critical cases, how to stop bleeding safely, how to identify the types of bones and muscles inside the human body, and how to deal with fractures and first aid.
The zone allows children to learn how to measure vision, the most important factors that preserve the human eye, as well as information about eye anatomy. It also includes a section that contains the skeleton, muscles, and internal organs such as the liver, heart, kidneys, and others.
Through this experience, children learn how to give intravenous injections under the supervision of a specialized doctor. They also have the opportunity to benefit from a surgical simulator to practice surgery and learn about its steps.
The Riyadh Homecoming festival consists of 6 experiences, 3 zones, 2 theaters, and a range of fun activities and experiences that combine knowledge and entertainment suitable for all ages. It also brings offers various family activities, including various programs that enable children to choose their future professions in the professions and jobs building, in addition to many shows and a wide range of creativity and entertainment events.
