At the Art Gallery for the Gifted, talented people with disabilities caught the attention of visitors to the “Boulevard Riyadh City”, one of the regions of the Riyadh season, as they mastered drawing expressive paintings and portraits by carving on glass, and highlighting them in professional ways.
The glass sculpture works of the talented artist Fahd Al-Hathour with disabilities, who presented 13 sculpted and painted panels in a lively way to the visitors of the exhibition, stressing that the disability gave him the motivation to navigate the arts of creativity.
The cautious artist stated that mastery, concentration and accuracy are what brought him to the stage of creativity by drawing on glass, and that the visitor when he wanders about the exhibition is attracted by the way he works, explaining that this field is among the hobbies that motivate him.
Regarding the method of sculpting on glass, he said: The work begins with a manual engraving machine to establish the painting, and then many details are added to it to reveal the identity of each glass panel, noting that the painting on the glass takes four days to complete in a creative way.
Artist Fahd Al-Hathour added that drawing on glass is one of the arts that includes many details to be extremely accurate, especially when using electrical tools in drawing, as this type of drawing is an attractive and distinct in nature, which works to completely change the parameters of the glass to appear more Elegance, as this drawing embraces the methods of choosing a good material of glass with the selection of colors appropriate to the form required in the plastic arts.
He pointed out that this method of profession dates back to several centuries, with the ancient folk arts that were born and lived for long ages and times, until they developed and became the focus of the attention of gourmets.
The “Studio” area, one of the sub-areas of “Riyadh City Boulevard”, hosts an exhibition of talented people with disabilities, and the number of participants in it is about 20 artists from the “Wanted” platform. .
