The Saudi contestant, Anas Al-Rahili, distinguished himself with his call to prayer, which humbled the hearts of viewers and members of the jury. Thus, he was able to eliminate his Syrian opponent, Sayed Mohammed Yassin Arsheed, who left the competition in its second stage of the final qualifiers.
In the Holy Quran recitation category, the British contestant, Mohammed Ayoub Asef, competed with the Iraqi reciter, Osama Al-Silawi. With a distinguished recitation performance, Asef was able to eliminate his opponent and pass to the semi-finals of the world’s largest competition in Holy Quran recitation and call to prayer.
The international Holy Quran and call to prayer competition is one of the most important initiatives launched by the General Entertainment Authority during the blessed month of Ramadan, with its content that suits the spirituality of the month, as well as its standards and provisions that enhance competitiveness through stages and qualifiers that ensure that only competent talents reach the final stages.
The competition is broadcast daily during Ramadan on Otr Elkalam show on the Saudia channel and Shahid platform. Contestants compete for the most beautiful voice and best performance in the Holy Quran recitation and call to prayer.
