Since its inception in 2016, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) licensed for more than 4,500 entertainment facilities to carry out entertainment and support activities in various fields related to the sector in more than 100 cities, 1,206 of which are engaged in organizing events.
The entertainment sector in its various fields shares the work of entertainment facilities. 1,579 restaurants and cafes were licensed in the field of live performances in restaurants and cafes, in addition to 257 facilities working in the field of entertainment centers, and 17 facilities in the field of amusement parks.
In the area of support services, 645 establishments were licensed in entertainment facilities operation services, 128 ticket management and sales platforms, 537 talent management and development facilities, and 393 crowd management facilities. Several companies also play multiple roles in a number of areas related to entertainment and its internal sectors.
Through its various projects, GEA offers huge investment opportunities, including empowering local companies and supporting them, in addition to attracting foreign investments that enhance the strength of the entertainment sector in the Kingdom. More than 70 foreign establishments have been licensed, in addition to providing jobs in various fields.
