As part of its commitment to the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) pursues its talent building initiative in partnership with MBC Academy: “Creative Nation Roadshow”.
The initiative is a vital development program for discovering and recruiting national talents in the media and entertainment sectors, which is considered an essential process for the success of the local and global entertainment industry through investing in talents to stimulate their creativity and refine their knowledge and technical skills.
So far, 77 applicants have qualified from the cities covered, with Tabuk having the biggest share (20 applicants), followed by Jazan and Al-Ula (18 each), Abha (14) and Jeddah (7).
The next stop for Creative Nation Roadshow will be in the glamorous summer destination of Taif between August 16 and 18, before making its way to Qassim and Al Khobar, and then finally culminating its tour at the capital, Riyadh.
Encouraging Saudi talents is a keystone of GEA’s strategy, under the supervision of H.E. the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, where GEA aims to reshape a generation of proficient national talents across various fields who are capable of enriching entertainment content in the Kingdom. GEA’s successful efforts in this context were reflected through the great demand for the “Creative Nation Roadshow” initiative, where the number of participants reached about 1687 in five cities: Tabuk, Abha, Al-Ula, Jazan, and Jeddah.
Male and female applicants can still apply for the competition through MBC Academy where auditions are carried out under the supervision of a host of veteran mentors and trainers who are experts in their respective fields. During the auditioning phase, a number of events, workshops, and roundtables are also organized to support and inspire the applicants.
