The educational phase of the “Comedy Factory” initiative, sponsored by the General Entertainment Authority, has commenced after the students successfully passed the performance auditions. The students have enrolled in a four-month program to learn acting and playwriting, which is delivered by a group of academics and specialists in the field.
The halls of Marwas Studios at Boulevard City witnessed the reception of students in the fields of theatrical acting and playwriting. They were presented with an introductory lecture about the educational phase and its significance by Dr. Khaled Amin, a faculty member at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in Kuwait. He encouraged everyone to make the most of this opportunity, emphasizing the importance of commitment and achieving the highest levels of interaction and excellence that will make them the stars of the future.
On the other hand, Professor Ahmed Saqr, a drama and contemporary criticism expert, has started giving lessons in the field of playwriting. This presents a great opportunity for a new generation to excel and showcase their creativity in this field.
