HE Turki bin Abdulmohsen Alalshikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced today the launch of the “City Hub” project. The initiative will travel through seven cities during 2025, aiming to enhance the quality of life for citizens and residents by geographically distributing entertainment activities across the Kingdom.
The first stop begins in Jazan on January 23, followed by Al-Khobar, Buraidah, Hail, Al-Baha, Taif, and concluding in Tabuk in August.
The “City Hub” project will span over 20,000 square meters in each city, featuring diverse entertainment zones designed to cater to all tastes and age groups. One of the highlights is the “Play and Learn Festival,” which combines fun and education for children, offering a hands-on experience in various professional fields. This includes areas like an innovation center, a banking sector, and a medical sector, enabling kids to explore different careers in an engaging and interactive way.
The electronic games zone hosts esports tournaments for featuring globally renowned games like EAFC24 and TEKKEN 8, with valuable prizes for winners, the competitions promise an electrifying atmosphere offering gaming enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their skills. For thrill-seekers, the Horror Zone delivers an immersive experience with lifelike challenges. This unique attraction is the ultimate destination for adventure enthusiasts and suspense lovers.
The circus tent showcases stunning acrobatic and artistic performances, including mesmerizing dancing fountains, trapeze artistry, and the adrenaline-pumping 360-degree motorcycle cage performance, guaranteed to captivate the audience.
The adventure zone brings a unique edge to the project, offering a vibrant and modern space filled with challenges and interactive activities, encouraging visitors to embark on new and exciting adventures.
Adding a natural element to the experience, the pet bird zone allows visitors to interact with a variety of rare birds, providing an opportunity to enjoy a wildlife-inspired environment. Complementing this is a diverse market and a selection of local and international restaurants, offering a rich culinary experience that caters to all tastes.
“City Hub” will operate for 14 days in each city, showcasing GEA’s dedication to promoting local content. By exclusively partnering with local companies for all activities, the project fosters collaboration among local entertainment providers driving growth within the industry.
The project is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities and stimulate investments in emerging regions, making it a valuable addition to the Kingdom’s entertainment landscape.
