As part of Riyadh Season 2024, the CEO of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Engineer Faisal Bafarat, inaugurated the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition last night (Wednesday). This celebrated showcase previously enjoyed immense success at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
The exhibition will welcome visitors at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh starting today, November 21, 2024, through April 2, 2025. It presents over 75 years of bold creativity initiated by Christian Dior’s pioneering vision.
Curated by art historian Florence Müller and scenographer Nathalie Crinière, the exhibition highlights the unique artistry of Dior’s creative directors from 1947 to the present. It explores various themes from the brand’s heritage, including Miss Dior, J’adore, a passion for Versailles, and a love for art in all its forms.
A special tribute is paid to the iconic Lady Dior bag through artistic pieces featured in the nine editions of the Dior Lady Art project. The exhibition design offers visitors a dreamlike visual journey inspired by the beauty of AlUla, the historic treasure of the Madinah region. A collection of breathtaking gowns evokes the warm rays of sunlight over the desert, embodying Dior’s timeless elegance from past to present.
For a more immersive experience, Café Dior offers visitors delightful moments of indulgence and enjoyment.
Tickets for the exhibition are available through the WEBOOK platform dedicated to Riyadh Season events.
