His first participation was in the second edition of Riyadh Season, and this is his second participation with his music and songs in Qariat Zaman, one of the zones of Riyadh Season 2022, where he plays Saudi music for visitors.
This is Hathal Al-Sulaiman, the songwriter, composer and oud player, whose blindness since birth did not stop him from realizing his ambitions. He is a university student in the foundation year. He says that his disability helped him a lot to challenge and overcome difficulties.
Al-Suleiman’s relationship with playing oud is not old, despite his good playing skill. He began to learn a year and a half ago by self-education and training and used the means that help him, as a blind person, to learn.
He is proud of his Saudi nationality and says that Saudis enjoy the care of the leadership and all means are harnessed for them to succeed, especially the younger generation. He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for supporting young men and women in light of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Suleiman wishes to have the opportunity to participate with other artists in the night honoring the late legendary musician Talal Maddah in Riyadh Season, adding: “I love the voice of late Talal Al-Maddah. I always play his songs, and honoring this artist is an initiative we are accustomed to from His Excellency the Advisor Alalshikh.” He also aspires to have a special concert in Riyadh Season 2022.
This initiative comes in the context of the efforts of General Entertainment Authority in the areas of social responsibility to achieve many goals related to raising the level of relevant programs. The number of beneficiaries of the initiatives of the General Entertainment Authority in the field of community service in Riyadh Season 2022 reached more than 10,000. This is part of the Authority’s continuous endeavors to raise the level of its social responsibility and contributions to initiatives and programs.
