Al-Khobar and Jeddah are gearing up to host “Your Passport to the World,” a cultural event organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). The festival is one of the Kingdom’s standout initiatives dedicated to celebrating expatriate communities, specifically from Sudan, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh.
The event aims to offer an immersive experience allowing expats to reconnect with their roots, while also introducing visitors to a variety of cultures through artistic performances, culinary experiences, traditional crafts, and interactive workshops.
The festival will first take place in Al-Khobar, where each community will be celebrated over four dedicated days throughout April. It will begin with the Sudanese community from Wednesday to Saturday this week, followed by the Indian community from April 16–19, the Filipino community from April 23–26, and finally, the Bangladeshi community from April 30 to May 3. The event will then continue in Jeddah.
“Your Passport to the World” delivers a fully immersive experience, reflected through a cohesive visual identity and artistic design inspired by each country’s traditional patterns, natural elements, and architecture. Dedicated spaces for each pavilion will showcase cultural elements such as traditional clothing and accessories, folk dances, diverse cuisines, and handicrafts, alongside open-air markets, performance stages, and interactive installations.
The event supports multiple goals, including promoting cultural diversity, highlighting the rich traditions of the participating countries, building bridges between residents and visitors, and providing a comprehensive, enjoyable, and educational experience for the whole family. It also aims to spotlight cultural heritage through art and food.
A strong public turnout is anticipated, as the event offers a vibrant celebration of deep-rooted traditions and aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to elevate entertainment and quality of life across the Kingdom.
