HE Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced today (Sunday) that Riyadh Season 2024 has achieved a new milestone, drawing in two million visitors within just one week since its launch. This remarkable turnout reflects the high anticipation and enthusiasm for the season, which has become a much-awaited annual event.
Five main zones are currently in operation as part of the season: Boulevard World, Kingdom Arena, Boulevard City, The Venue, and Al-Suwaidi Park.
Boulevard World, expanded by 30% this year to accommodate the growing number of visitors, introduced new areas representing Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Africa, and Courchevel. This brings the total to 22 cultural zones from around the world, alongside 300 restaurants and cafes, and over 890 retail outlets.
At Kingdom Arena, a historic boxing match saw Artur Beterbiev crowned the undisputed light heavyweight champion after defeating Dmitry Bivol by majority decision. The fight, marked by intense competition, has already become a global milestone in boxing.
The Venue launched its first event of the season with the “Six Kings Slam” tennis tournament, the world’s most lucrative tennis competition, featuring six top-ranked players: Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune.
Meanwhile, Al-Suwaidi Park is currently hosting Indian-themed events until Tuesday, offering traditional performances, authentic dishes, and concerts, attracting large numbers from the Indian community, residents, and fans of Indian culture.
Boulevard City continues to captivate visitors with new entertainment experiences like the PUBG Mobile game zone and the Conan experience, alongside a diverse array of restaurants and the iconic dancing fountain.
Through this diverse lineup, Riyadh Season 2024 continues to achieve success, reinforcing its position as a global destination that brings together a rich blend of entertainment in the heart of the Kingdom.
