During the first half of 2023, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) attained a number of achievements and figures, most notably the attendance of 22.7 million visitors to its events, which were held in 120 cities and governorates in the Kingdom.
The GEA activities came during the first six months of 2023 and were held in major cities and governorates in all regions of the Kingdom. These activities met the diverse entertainment needs of visitors, which led to an increase in entertainment activities provided to residents and visitors of the Kingdom during the last period.
Given the importance of the field of entertainment and its role in strengthening social ties, and being an indicator of achieving prosperity, and well-being, GEA worked throughout the first half of this year to develop new options that enhance the participation of visitors to its activities in entertainment and festivals dedicated to games and shopping. Moreover, the events created thousands of jobs and helped the diversification of economic activities.
