Organized by the General Entertainment Authority and sponsored by the Music Commission, Merwas Studios achieved impressive numbers during June, which was its first month of operation. It received around 300 registration requests for its music workshops and provided more than 48 hours of training.
Additionally, Merwas Studios organized 8 training workshops with the participation of 8 professional trainers, including some of the biggest experts in playing and composing music in the Arab world. These trainers include Dr. Mamdouh El Gebaly, who holds a PhD in music and is an accomplished composer, Islam El Qasabgi, a multi-award-winning musician with notable contributions to the art and music scene, Khaled Mohamed Ali, known for his distinctive style in playing the oud and for being the first to write compositions for the oud and the quartet string, Hassan Sharara, who holds a PhD and has won several awards in art, Mahmoud Sorour, who is one of the best and most famous violinists in the Arab world, and Saudi musician Madani Abadi, who is one of the most prominent qanun players.
The workshops aim to help young talents in singing, and various types of music, such as oud, organ, violin, drums, and piano. They also offer new ideas that align with the requirements of music content in an ideal environment to improve creative outputs.
Merwas Studios is the largest artistic and entertainment factory in the Arab world. It includes 22 international studios, two radio stations in Arabic and English, and a specialized academy for art and music.
