The “Riyadh Winter Baloot” Championship’s first round of the qualification phase ended tonight with more than 4000 qualified competitors out of more than 16,000 participants on the second day of the championship, which has a prize money of Saudi Riyal 2 million (USD532,360). The next round of the championship is due to commence tomorrow.
The competition, which was launched under the direction of HE Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Sheikh, is held for the third time under the supervision of GEA and the Saudi Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) from February 13 to 22 in Riyadh Front area.
The competition saw smooth organization of players’ entry to the four gaming zones with total capacity of more than 2,000 players per session, which may extend to 40 minutes.
