Today, Tuesday, 29 November, the activities of Riyadh Purebred Arabian Horse Festival, Jawadi, were launched, in the presence of a large number of owners, amateurs, and those interested in purebred Arabian horses, at the Al Duhami Equestrian Center in Diriyah Governorate, with the participation of 347 breeds of horses from the Arabian Peninsula.
The festival, which will continue until December 3, includes a number of competitions, with prizes reaching SAR1 million. The competitions include the first Saudi Breeders Cup and the Saudi Production Champions Cup, organized by the Arabian Horse Organization and supervised by the King Abdulaziz Center for Purebred Arabian Horses.
Arabian horses at the festival are distinguished by special characteristics, as they are classified as one of the oldest types of horses in the world, dating back thousands of years, in addition to their ability to withstand various climate conditions all over the world.
The horses of the Jawadi festival are distinguished by their long necks, and wide and black eyes, in addition to their unique wavy tails.
The festival includes workshops dedicated to educating visitors on ways to breed and feed horses, in addition to methods for choosing the appropriate horse. It also contains seminars dealing with various topics about the Arabian horse. There is a special area for children to allow them to experience horse riding and learn ways to care for and feed horses.
Jawadi, which is held by the Arabian Horse Organization under the umbrella of Riyadh Season until December 3, combines fun and originality, as it contains entertainment, heritage, equestrian, cultural, and other show activities for fans of purebred Arabian horses.
The festival includes entertainment and heritage activities, such as live traditional cooking shows, traditional crafts, folklore performances, live music, and areas for restaurants, cafes, and shopping, which give the place a warmer and more enjoyable atmosphere.
Within the festival, activities are held to create an attractive, traditional and entertaining equestrian environment, and to emphasize introducing the purebred Arabian horse and educating visitors about it, such as viewing purebred Arabian horses, camels, and Diwaniyat al-Fursan, which is the designated place that celebrates the knights with a distinctive heritage character.
The festival receives visitors from 3 pm until 12 midnight and continues until December 3. Reservations can be made via the link:
