The international Catwalk initiative, which was launched yesterday, Saturday 5 November, helped Riyadh Season visitors to shorten their walking distances by allowing them to enjoy scenic views and fireworks in Boulevard Riyadh City, one of the zones of Riyadh Season.
The participants in the initiative, which aims to preserve the life of 7 endangered wild big cats, including the Arabian leopard, walked a distance of 7 km, starting from Music sub-zone and ending in Fountain sub-zone. Participants passed through Trocadero, Studios, Sports and Garden sub-zones in an enthusiastic atmosphere, believing in the role that sports play in raising awareness about various social and environmental issues.
The initiative highlights the common points between the principles of public health and nature conservation, and the role of wild cats in achieving ecological balance, especially the jaguar, leopard, snow leopard, tiger, lion, panther and mountain lion. The initiative also contributes to raising community awareness about environmental, health and cultural aspects.
Riyadh Season 2022 is characterized by containing a range of local and international events, including concerts, plays, exhibitions and festivals, in addition to shops, restaurants and cafes, sporting events, and international competitions. It includes 15 entertainment zones, each of which has a distinct character.
