For the first time outside Japan, the Evangelion statue has been brought to Saudi Anime Expo, held within the activities of Riyadh Season 2022, as one of the exclusive exhibits of the Expo, which represents one of the largest gatherings of anime lovers in the region at Riyadh Front between 27-29 October.
The statue belongs to Neon Genesis Evangelion series that appeared in the 1980s and began broadcasting on Tokyo TV in October 1995. It is one of the series that won many major awards in the field of anime. The statue inside the exhibition is about 6 meters tall.
Saudi Anime Expo also includes a statue of Eren Yeager the hero of “Attack on Titan” series. It is located in the middle of the exhibition and is one of the most prominent attractions in it, in addition to Conan statue, which represents a special symbolism for many visitors, as it is part of the memories of their childhood during the previous decades.
The exhibition allows visitors to enrich their experience by enjoying Japanese meals, through several cafes and restaurants, in addition to visiting the anime store, which provides various original goods and products for various anime characters.
The activities of the Expo, which started today, will continue for 3 days. It receives visitors in the next two days from 3 pm until 12 midnight in a distinguished atmosphere with anime characters and their accessories, including action figures, drawings, shows, series and films.
