The General Entertainment Authority launches the first track of the Entertainment Fellowship Program

Apr 13, 2022

Today, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) launched the first of the three tracks of the Entertainment Fellowship Program, one of the programs of the Happiness Makers initiative, to enrich the entertainment experience in the Kingdom by activating the workshops for those tracks.
The Entertainment Fellowship Program is the first intensive training program in entertainment fields in the Kingdom. It combines theoretical education with direct practical application, in cooperation with the most prominent leaders in the entertainment sector locally and globally, including leading international universities and companies.
The program aims to achieve three main objectives, which are developing national human cadres in the entertainment fields, transferring global knowledge and expertise specialized in the entertainment fields to the Kingdom and understanding the details of the entertainment fields, which the GEA focuses on in its future vision.
The three tracks of the Entertainment Fellowship Program cover the needs of the entertainment sector in the Kingdom, which are the Entertainment Events track, the Entertainment Destinations track, and the Electronic Entertainment track. Trainees in these tracks obtain globally recognized certificates and licenses.
The Entertainment Events track, which was launched today and includes all temporary events that occur in one place or several places, is concerned with the organization, coordination and implementation of entertainment festivals, concerts and theatrical performances, by consolidating the necessary knowledge among the trainees to design events for all target groups and the techniques used to operate and manage entertainment events of all kinds.
The Entertainment Destinations track, which is concerned with permanent zones and spaces that host events, such as BLVD RUH City and Riyadh Winter Wonderland, is concerned with managing and operating entertainment sites, such as centers, parks, amusement parks, and others, by teaching trainees effective ways to manage crowds and activate memorable entertainment experiences.
The Electronic Entertainment track is concerned with events related to electronic games and their operation and coordination, such as designing special competitions, tournaments and exhibitions.
It is noteworthy that the GEA seeks to diversify and enrich the entertainment experience in the Kingdom to make it more attractive and exciting, increase the entertainment options available to individuals, support the local economy, increase revenues, and achieve a distinctive rating for the Kingdom in this field.
