The fifth episode of the international Holy Quran and call to prayer competition reminded fasting people of the scenes of pilgrimage and the recitations of Al-Khayf Mosque. The Imam of Al-Khayf was one of the participants in today’s episode of Otr Elkalam (Scent of Speech) TV show, which is broadcast at 5 pm, Riyadh time, on Saudia TV channel and Shahid platform.
In today’s episode, the Imam of Al-Khayf Mosque in Mina, Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Damkh, who is known for his sweet voice and spiritual recitation, participated in the recitation branch of the competition.
The Egyptian contestant Mohammed Al-Awadi, who learned and memorized the Holy Quran at Al-Azhar, became a teacher of the Holy Quran and taught about 400 students, also participated in the episode. The Iraqi contestant Osama Al-Silawi, who is known for his mellow voice, also participated in the episode.
The three contestants in the Holy Quran recitation branch impressed the jury and the audience and scored good results from voting. However, only Al-Awadi and Al-Silawi managed to qualify for the quarter-final.
The call to prayer branch witnessed the qualifications of Saudi muezzins Ibrahim Al-Zahrani and Anas Al-Rahili to the semi-final, while their competitor, the Egyptian Muezzin Mohammed Abdul-Raouf Al-Suhaji, did not get enough votes to qualify.
The International Holy Quran and call to prayer competition targets talented people in their fields to highlight the beautiful voices in reciting the Holy Quran and delivering the call to prayer. It is among the international initiatives organized and supervised by the General Entertainment Authority.
